"INTOLERANCE IN
SOCIAL LIFE"

The
social problems that exist in society today are not merely economic spheres but
are related to everything in people's lives. If the first community in general
just for how to tomorrow to survive. But in the current era of social progress
concerning all aspects of life, including religious life and security within
the community.
According

According
to the Great Indonesian Dictionary, Religion is a system that regulates the
faith and worship to God Almighty and the rules related to the interaction of
man and man and the environment. Religion as the foundation of life that
governs the social order of society as well as to provide the right way
according to the guidance of God.
Any
religion regulates the way of life in the community side by side with different
religious beliefs. In Indonesia alone, there are six religions recognized by
the government, Islam, Christian, Catholic, Hindu, Buddhist, Khong Hu Chu
coupled with the flow of Belief or Confidence. Based on the 2010 population
census data conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics, Islam is ranked
first among the largest religious leaders, with a total adherent of 207 million
more followers of Islam than a total of more than 237 million.
According

The
conflict of religious freedom intolerance in the community is of particular
concern in the second quarter of 2018. There are so many stories that mention
the terrorist acts committed by terrorists. Whether done in places of worship
as well as public facilities public, even in places of government agencies or
law enforcement agencies themselves.
The
security of worship according to religion or religious belief each becomes
important, because worship requires kekhusyu'an to ask God or communicate to
God. The domain of Religion is now a good political communication material to
approach the Election of Head of Region in 2018 and Presidential Election Year
2019.
The
social dynamics of society today that are being shaken by security and
conduciveness caused by bombing action because society feel insecure again in
doing life routine. Although law enforcers make the statement that the
condition of the community is safe, the community remains anxious. Especially
in the era of communication progress at this time that many news lie, not sure
the truth makes the society meras not safe anymore.
Terrorism
does not represent any religion, but people often know that terrorists are in
the name of Islamic religion. Yet such perceptions should be omitted from the
thinking of the people by providing information that is truly in accordance
with the facts. Terrorists just make noise in people's lives, never benefit any
party. This action is just a fear to the community to do activities of life.
According
to Casram in the journal Scientific Religion and Social Culture, the emergence
of awareness among religious people embodied in tolerance can suppress or minimize
clashes between them. Moto agree in disagreement becomes a strong social
capital in religious tolerance. The developed religious tolerance not only
rewards the theology and faith of individual religions and religious people,
but also understands and respects the culture of the faithful. Religious
tolerance can provide support for the formation of civil society inspired by
supernatural values.
In
the book "Religious Tolerance in conflict prone areas" published by
ICRR, Tolerance and intolerance cannot be separated from the internal and
external factors of the religious community. Internal are religious figures, religious
broadcasting materials, and religious institutions. When these three components
agree to jointly build tolerance, it becomes the motor for tolerance. Clear and
public rules are the elements of reducing and even eliminating conflict. The
rules concerning the establishment of houses of worship, the rules of religious
broadcasting, etc. that are known by all parties to be a reference in guiding
the community to stand parallel to the law.
The
educational institution is where the spirit of harmony exists. Educational
institutions that synergize with educational institutions of other faiths or
contain and teach the value of tolerance is a good example in maintaining
togetherness among religions. The role of educational institutions to give
knowledge to students to determine the thinking of future learners. Building
tolerance in the life of society is not only done by the community itself but
also must be done together with the government. The government should hold the
protection of the people to create a sense of security in social life.
Communities as subjects in life must be able to recognize whatever causes
social conflict.
